We are finally ready to import our ducks to their new home (they were at our old residence pending completion of this project). It's been a week since the first shovel hit the dirt, and the ducks are more than ready to make their new home here. We had little problem catching the turtles - except for a bite. Gently tug on a back leg and they release their grip. I learned never to put my hand in front of a turtle's face! Until we build a new duck enclosure (shelter), we found an inexpensive solution. Plastic lattice is inexpensive, flexible, and effectively keeps them away from hazards we haven't dealt with yet. |
